 The American Design Drafting Association Student Chapter, East Carolina University provides a means for students to network with one another and help them gain exposure to the design profession. The Chapter was originally founded in 2000, and re-organized in 2003. The organization’s main goal is to expose its members to the latest technology and industry trends before graduation. This is accomplished by having frequent industry speakers, developing a mentoring/shadow program, awarding scholarships for students to attend conferences, and working closely with faculty to see that members have the necessary skills to gain entry into the profession and to succeed after graduation. |
