About TECS

PRACTICAL, PROGRESSIVE AND PROGRESSIVE

The College of Technology and Computer Science (TECS) is unlike any other within the University of North Carolina system.  Faculty members are not content to stand behind a lectern and talk; students are not content to sit behind desks and take notes.  Both groups have come to ECU with a desire to solve real-world problems.

We strive to create graduates in high demand in business and industry as well as drastically impact the economic development of Eastern North Carolina.

TECS works every day to provide our students with an excellent, practical education, innovative lab structures and valuable internships with leading industry partners.  This unique approach ensures students obtain the knowledge and skills needed to be successful after graduation.  Our students leave East Carolina University eager, engaged and ready to excel from day one on the job.

Additionally, we are primed to deliver graduates who will positively impact the economy in North Carolina, particularly in the east, as the state moves to the forefront of several rapidly expanding technology and computer system industries.
