Graduation

To graduate from East Carolina University, the student must:

  • Meet with your Advisor at least two semesters prior to your expected graduation date to complete a Senior Summary (planned path to graduation).

  • Have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and a 2.0 minimum GPA in the major.

  • Complete the Senior Survey found through the student One Stop page.

  • Fill out an Application for Graduation ("yellow" card) usually given at the time of senior summary completion. Applications for Graduation must be turned into Whichard 108, at least one semester prior to the expected graduation. Please refer to the Important Dates page to see when the Application for Graduation is due each semester.  

It is the responsibility of the student to make sure that all degree criteria for graduation has been completed.

As there are no Graduation ceremonies held during the summer, a student that completes program requirements during the summer sessions will ONLY be able to participate in Graduation ceremonies after the following Fall semester.  The student can NOT participate Walk for Graduation until ALL program requirements are met.  There are no exceptions.
